Serving as a comprehensive music education program for participating Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the objective of Miami Music Project's In-School Residency is to ignite curiosity and cultivate passion for music in children, providing a meaningful introduction to classical music through interactive performances, mentoring by Teaching Artists, curriculum and complimenting support materials.
The El SIstema Miami program is committed to social development through music education, empowering children and youth to acquire the values necessary to achieve their full potential as citizens, positively affecting society through the study and performance of music. Music education is accomplished through group efforts including orchestra participation from very early stages, group lessons and peer teaching; instilling a strong passion for music, team work and a shared commitment to the joy and fun of music making.
The ESMIA Youth Orchestra is a symphony ensemble comprised of the most talented musicians of South Florida. The ESMIA Youth Orchestra creates access to highly valuable music opportunities for young musicians, while at the same time complementing the quality work of local youth ensembles. Participating students perform under the baton of Maestro James Judd, and at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and other major performance venues.

An annual interactive performance featuring members of the ESMIA Youth Orchestra that is equally fun and educational, at the Adrienne Arsht Center for The Performing Arts, under the direction of Maestro James Judd.
